With the family of RANGER products & cloud interface, SignalFire offers a platform to easily and quickly deploy measurements where you need them with the least amount of hardware. The key objective of this product line is to monitor and even control without traditional systems like SCADA, PLC, edge device , etc. SignalFire created a solution that brings the sensor data right into an easy-to-use and mobile friendly cloud interface.

SignalFire’s cellular solution integrates the latest in wireless technology for powered sensors, allowing direct connectivity from a sensor to a cloud platform. Using LTE-M (short for LTE Cat-M1) this technology is for Internet of Things devices to connect directly to a 4G network, without a gateway, using the built-in batteries or external solar panel.

The electronics and embedded software have been designed for ultra low power consumption in order to  maximize battery life.

The Ranger comes complete with the web- and mobile-friendly SignalFire Cloud interface to monitor, trend and get alarms either by text or email. It uses MQTT technology secured by TLS (latest in internet security) that can also be integrated with private cloud platforms. The data is published natively using the popular SparkPlugB format commonly utilized by many hosting platforms.

The ready-to-go Cloud interface provides for remote configuration and troubleshooting of the Ranger node and its attached sensor(s). It is also possible to turn on/off the relay output from the Cloud interface to remotely control pumps, motors, valves and more.

The SignalFire Cloud platform offers historical trends for 3 years with data exporting in popular formats as well as reporting by exception to a predefined list of users. All the data belongs to the user of the RANGER and it is secured using Amazon Web Services (AWS). There is no programming necessary to retrieve the data from a RANGER. Simply claim the RANGER to your account using the IMEI of the device and it will immediately show up on your personal dashboard. From there you can assign users that will receive alarms based on the measurement of the sensor.

The architecture is based on the Ignition platform by Inductive Automation and therefore, users of Ignition can easily integrate the data provided by the RANGER.

We are thrilled to add to our strong lineup of wireless & telemetry solutions. Integrate your sensor with the cloud effortlessly with The SignalFire Ranger.
