Before the Analyzer | Why Sample Conditioning Matters

Posted by TechStar on Aug 12, 2026, 1:15:00 PM

Accurate gas analysis doesn't start at the analyzer. It starts at the process sampling point.

In continuous process gas analysis, selecting the right analyzer is only part of the measurement. Before an analyzer can provide a reliable result, a representative sample must be extracted from the process, transported without significantly changing its composition, and properly conditioned for analysis.

The complete measurement chain includes gas sampling, gas transport, gas conditioning, process control, and ultimately gas analysis.

Every step matters.

The Importance of Water Chemistry

Posted by TechStar on Aug 5, 2026, 6:00:00 AM

Some of the most expensive threats to industrial equipment can start with something you can't see: a small change in water chemistry.

In power generation and other high-purity water applications, water isn't simply a utility. It is an integral part of the process.

Changes in dissolved oxygen, conductivity, sodium, silica, pH, phosphate, and other chemistry parameters can provide an early indication that conditions inside the water and steam cycle are changing. Left unchecked, those changes can contribute to corrosion, deposits, scaling, reduced heat-transfer efficiency, and damage to critical equipment.

That's why understanding water chemistry is an important part of protecting the entire process.
